Copper Tins :)


Can you tell we are into orange. Our old back splash was a dingy white square tile. You can see how we removed it in a previous post Kitchen: The Road to backsplash

But here are some refresher pics...



So we decided to go with a copper tin. We ordered them from cheaptins.com or something like that. We weren't sure what to except but they arrived 2 weeks later and we liked them better than we thought. They were darker than we expected but they were better than the fake plastic kind you can get at home depot or lowes. It took David roughly 12 hours with a two hour break in the middle somewhere. The job required a lot of careful cutting, contractors glue, a pep talk after he electrocuted himself, flat head nails and gray caulk. David did an incredible job! And we both love it! We have decided not to buy anything else orange for the house...
