Demolition

Day one

Saturday (Aug 2rd) we started our morning with homemade breakfast burritos and then we sold the couch! Got some extra cheddah for new furniture and reno projects! Goodbye giant leather sectional you will be missed. So many memories. We then headed to Lumber Liquidators to pick u the Golden Teak Acacia Hardwoods! It was important to do this immediately because we needed to give the wood time to acclimate to the house. Apparently wood will crack and warp if it doesn't get adjusted to the environment first. We chose real hardwood planks for the upstairs and pre-fab engineered hardwood for the downstairs. The wood upstairs needs 2 weeks to acclimate and the downstairs needed 24 hours. So we made sure to get those in place right away.

Our plan for Saturday:
pick up hardwood and put in the house
demo closet
Scrape popcorn off the ceilings
rip out carpet
rip out padding

Here is our official to do list with an official to do list marker...

Thanks to Dan Brass we were also able to tear our the tile under the fireplace and remove trim!
