Our First House

On August 2nd David and I closed on our first home together. It is a 2 bedroom townhouse right up against the foothills. The living areas and kitchen are upstairs while the bedrooms are at garden level. The house needs updating and we can't wait to going on our renovation project.

Here is our master plan:

• rip out floating closet
• put in hardwood through the whole house
• new trim and crown moulding 
• paint and add trim to the existing cabinets
• new counter tops
• new appliances
• wainscot
• update bathrooms
• spice up the fireplace
• sun tube 
• new window in the master bedroom 
• sliding barn doors 
• built ins around the fire place 
• can lighting in the bedroom and kitchen 
• make a custom pantry closet 
• buy cheap furniture and make cute

Oh and did we mention we are giving our selves a little less than 4 weeks to do most of the work and our budget is also not so big. David and I both love challenging projects so here we go...
