FRENCH DOOR!

Throughout this process I have tried not to get to carried away with this renovation. Pinterest can be quite the devil in that. But it looks like I can have my cake and eat it too. We knew our sliding patio door was quite outdated and old, we said that we would replace it eventually but it certainly wasn't necessary until later. It wasn't until we moved in that we saw the door for what it really was...broken.

The door only locked from the top (how am I supposed to reach that), it didn't close all the way, and was probably original to the house. The door had to get replaced sooner than later. During one of our trips to Lowes we glanced at the doors and turns out a french door was about the same price as a sliding one! We decided to go for it...so Friday afternoon we had one hour to shop at lowes. We ran in got the door, got the handles, bought tile, and stock kitchen cabinets. We used our last 10% off coupon and as a result we got a new french door for under $350! It was the last thing to get installed on our weekends list of projects but it is IN! We love it!

THE PROCESS:
step 1 - get 10% off moving coupon
step 2 - run to lowes on a Friday after work
step 3 - get a flat cart with railings
step 4 - pick up door and hardware to go with it

Step 5: Remove Old Door

Step 6: Install Door

step 7 - ENJOY

It just needs to be painted and hardware installed
